Count down days for music contest.
March 2014 my spirit told me it was time for a change. In March 2014 I started sketching and painting fractal animals. I never really was very interested in drawing but I always loved to paint. I loved when I use to make pottery.
In pottery you get to control certain elements when you bisk or fire certain pieces in the kiln. Now Raku really was never one of my favorites, because everything sits in open flames and you can not control those flames. A kiln will fire from 1200 to 1600 degrees. Open flames you can’t control. I use to have like 5 kilns and hundreds of molds, but I preferred to make one-of-a-kind pieces, that were unique.
Storing pottery you need space and space I do not have, until I retire. For now I still create by hand fractal animals. For the children’s books with music you need a lot of art and music. There are 60 characters in the book series.
I started in March 2014 sketching and won my first women’s international art competition in July 2014. I started making music mixes in January 2015, published my first album in March 2015, and I am looking forward to entering my first music contest in April 2015.
To focus is key. Sometimes it is just an honor to even be considered in a competition. With the fractal animals it pretty much means you live, breath, eat, and everything else is art in life. It has been a year of about 90 hours a week between full-time work and art. Now it is about 90 hours a week in music and full time work.
The contest is important to me, to help focus in goals.
Goal – to be a better person than I was the day before and to grow in daily personal growth.
A friend of mine asked me to send her a blessing today. I am an ordained Revered and from time to time I do bless and heal people.
